However, assistance may also entail listening, providing information and effective referrals to other service providers, or distributing in-kind goods, such as clean-up kits, food boxes, or other donated goods. Willing to travel to the Everglades City area. Would like to begin distribution on Wednesday, September 20 but additional dates will be available.Casework Specialists must have excellent active listening skills and be able to interact compassionately with individuals, who often have suffered a major traumatic loss and are under significant stress. School Drive, Ochopee, FL) where they would be directed to the most urgent projects from general cleaning, to assisting elderly residents in cleanup efforts, to passing out meals.

Other - Families can go to crisiscleanup.org/home to register for volunteers to assist with clean up and repairs to their homes. Volunteers from Rubicon are on site now and being housed by Parks and Rec.

Relief Funds

The Community Foundation of Collier County,  in close collaboration with the City of Naples and Collier County Emergency Management, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, City of Naples Police Department, Marco Island Police Department and the United Way of Collier County has established the Collier Comes Together Disaster Relief Fund to provide assistance to Hurricane Irma victims. 100% of donations collected are distributed to victims and their families.

United Way of Collier County knows Hurricane Irma has affected thousands of families in our community. While there are critical and immediate needs, such as food, water and supplies, we recognize that the road to a full recovery is a long process - families need to find new homes, have their utilities turned on, regain access to transportation for work and childcare, need clothes, etc. All donations collected through United Way of Collier County for Hurricane Irma will be used to assist families during this long road to their full recovery. We appreciate your donation using the form below.
